Here at MBA Reptiles, we offer a variety of reptiles, including Ball Pythons, Colubrides and Skinks. In this section, we will go over some of the basic reptile care steps to give your reptile a happy and healthy home.
Ball Python Care
Scientific Name: Python regius
Lifespan: 20-30 years
Size: 3-5 feet (depending on gender and feeding)
Habitat Setup
Enclosure Size: Around 40-gallon tank for adults
Temperature: Warm side: 88-92°F, Ambient: 75-80°F
Humidity: 50-60%
Substrate: Aspen shavings, cypress mulch, or reptile carpet. DO NOT use cedar or pine as they are extremely toxic to snakes!
Keep in mind ball pythons don’t get that name for no reason; ball pythons love to ball up and hide. Too large of enclosures can stress them out.
